Cry for Vengeance

$3,500.00

An original contemporary realism portrait inspired by the themes of violence, anger, war and the mythology of Oedipus. This artwork presents the many struggles and pain of letting emotions take over and blinding us with rage and eventually blood.

I know of a story best told cold

That only a young would fest

Of a juvenile thought turned immoral

To moral the minds of best to all.

Not one did listen, nor could one see

Only feeling, blind with red still seeks

The answer cited as lex talionis

Yet has nothing even sight left to bliss.

Bracing to give by

Taking did he cry

"Before the saviour was a threatened of fate

The cold bite of a mans compensated fire.

Withered hath the mind of Lady Fortuna

Bringing vacant cleanse to their bitter pyre."

After the revengers path,

How'd an epilogue collide embrace?

Would it from a weep or laugh?

We experience it alone, with what we face.

Special thanks a friend
